The path to becoming an early-career researcher can be a daunting one. The CENES (and friends!) Curiosity Cluster helps humanities students start their undergraduate research journey in a low-pressure environment, alongside a community of like-minded individuals.
This student-led research cluster will help create space for undergraduates interested in publishing and research to dedicate time to their projects, learn new skills, and have access to resources for success – whether they’re planning an honours thesis, working on an independent project, or just looking to explore research possibilities.
In Term 1, sessions will focus on academic professionalization, demystifying processes around forming research questions, submitting to conferences, and publishing your first article.
How to Attend:
Our inaugural meeting and welcome social will take place on Monday, September 23rd between 4-5 pm in Buchanan Tower 910.
Drop by to introduce yourself, enjoy some light refreshments, share a bit about your project, and ask any opening questions you have about the undergraduate research process. All levels of experience are welcome!
