The UBC Central, Eastern & Northern European Studies (CENES) Department is pleased to invite you to our third annual Careers Night with CENES Alumni on January 22nd, 2025.

CENES will be inviting alumni from each of our CENES programs (German, Nordic, Slavic and Modern European Studies) to speak to the full CENES experience. Current students can hear about our alumni’s undergraduate journey first hand, and ask questions about what careers and opportunities are possible with a CENES degree.

Event Programming:

Doors open at 5:30pm.

The event will begin promptly at 5:50pm with a moderated panel, giving our alumni an opportunity to speak about their careers and how their time in CENES helped them get there.

There will be a Q&A portion after the panel where audience members can ask their own questions, followed by a social hour where students will have an opportunity to chat and interact with the alumni, peers, and faculty.

There will be light appetizers and refreshments from Salishan Catering.

How to Attend:

Please RSVP here.

This event will take place on January 22nd, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm in the Peña Room (Room 301) located in the Chapman Commons, Irving K. Barber Centre at 1961 East Mall. Those who are unable to RSVP prior to the event will still be able to attend.
