 a href="http://www.internationalcomicartsforum.org/">International Comic Ar
 ts Forum</a> (ICAF) will be held April 20-22\, 2023\, at the University of 
 British Columbia in Vancouver.</h3><p>Founded in 1995\, ICAF brings togethe
 r an intimate group of comics scholars\, teachers\, journalists\, and creat
 ive professionals from around the world for lively presentations and inform
 al roundtable discussions about comics. For our first in-person gathering s
 ince 2019\, this year’s ICAF guest artists include: Haida graphic artist Mi
 chael Nicoll Yahgulanaas\, Ebony Flowers\, Meghan Parker\, Priscilla Layne\
 , and Birgit Weyhe\, with an academic keynote by Professor Susan Kirtley fr
 om Portland State University.</p><p>Among the themes that ICAF 2023 will hi
 ghlight are discussions of comics that focus on Indigenous issues related t
 o decolonization\, activism\, and language\, as well as the work of Indigen
 ous artists. The forum will also feature a roundtable on comics studies sch
 olarship and migration as part of the “Graphic Narratives of Migration” pro
 ject.</p><p>This hybrid event is co-sponsored by the International Comic Ar
 ts Forum\, UBC Department of Central\, Eastern and Northern European Studie
 s\, UBC Centre for Migration Studies\, UBC Public Humanities Hub\, the Cons
 ulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany – Vancouver\, and the US H
 olocaust Memorial Museum.</p><h3>Program and Registration</h3><p>Participan
 ts who are giving academic presentations are required to pay a registration
