 latz</p><h3>About the Program</h3><p>Born in 1977 in Bucharest\, Romania\, 
 Radu Jude began his career as an assistant director before directing severa
 l short films. He transitioned to feature films with The Happiest Girl in t
 he World and went on to create films such as Aferim!\, Scarred Hearts\, and
  Uppercase Print. His feature Bad Luck Banging or Loony Porn won the Golden
  Bear at the Berlinale in 2021. His latest film\, Kontinental '25\, premier
 ed at the Berlinale 2025 and won the Silver Bear for best screenplay.</p><p
 >Christian Ferencz-Flatz (born 1981) is a philosopher and media scholar\, a
 ffiliated with the Alexandru Dragomir Institute for Philosophy in Bucharest
 . His research interests include phenomenology\, critical theory\, philosop
 hy of history\, and film and media philosophy. He has published numerous es
 says and translated key theoretical works by Edmund Husserl\, Martin Heideg
 ger\, Walter Benjamin\, Theodor W. Adorno\, and Siegfried Kracauer into Rom
 anian. Alongside Radu Jude\, he co-authored the experimental documentary Ei
 ght Postcards from Utopia\, which premiered at Locarno in 2024. He is curre
 ntly developing a research project on post-socialist advertising. With the 
 daringly direct and moving works of Radu Jude and Christian Ferencz-Flatz\,
  this screening series offers a unique perspective on viewing the world thr
 ough innovative and precise filmmaking.</p><p>Their film exemplifies how ac
 ademic and artistic voices can come together to create vibrant conversation
 s about history\, the present moment\, and the future. Concluding with a Q&
 A with the directors\, this series invites imaginative and interdisciplinar
 y discussions that push the boundaries of both cinema and thought.</p><p><e
