 ana Zhabotynska from the Bohdan Khmelnitsky National University of Cherkass
 y\, Ukraine.</h3><p><strong>Title:</strong> "Ukraine's Image Framing in the
  Narrative Battles of Russia-Ukraine War"</p><p><strong>Abstract:</strong> 
 This lecture shows how the biased version of the image of Ukraine manufactu
 red by Russia and its allies can be exposed. It is argued that image constr
 uction employs numerous propaganda technologies related to the content\, fo
 rm\, and function of the media narratives. Among the form-related technolog
 ies\, a particular focus is metaphorical expressions shaping conceptual met
 aphors as powerful vectors of the worldview imposed on the audience.</p><h3
 >About the Speaker</h3><p>Dr. Svitlana Zhabotynska is a full Professor of t
 he Department of English Philology and Methods of Teaching English\, Bohdan
  Khmelnitsky National University of Cherkassy\, Ukraine. Doctor of Sciences
  (Linguistics). Honored Educator of Ukraine. As a Senior Fulbright Scholar\
 , Dr. Zhabotynska stayed with the University of California at San Diego\, U
 niversity of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She is working in the field of c
 ognitive linguistics that studies the nature of interaction between languag
 e and the mind\, and has over 200 scholarly publications. Since 2015\, Dr. 
 Zhabotynska has been focusing on political narratology\, narrative wars\, a
 nd the impact of political language on the human mind and societal worldvie
