 ><p>Auschwitz was a place in which several frequently conflicting agendas o
 f the Nazi Germany intersected: it was an industrial compound\, a concentra
 tion camp\, a medical research site and a killing facility\; it served to i
 mprison\, enslave\, terrorize and kill. It is also a site of conflicted mem
 ories. As a memorial site\, with archives and a research center\, Auschwitz
  offers an unparalleled opportunity to study the Holocaust in ways that\, i
 n turn\, foster academic skills and knowledge that can be applied to other 
 genocides and various stories of violence. In this multi‐disciplinary inqui
 ry\, students will take up social responsibilities as researchers\, drawing
  connections to territory and space of Auschwitz camp complex. Students wil
 l be encouraged to contextualize studying Auschwitz as a site of memory\, h
 istory and testimony alongside histories of other genocides and current con
 flicts. Arts Research Abroad funding is available for this program. 70%-100
 % of program fees and flight costs will be covered for qualifying Arts stud
 ents from the Vancouver campus.</p><p>Thanks to the generous funding from U
 niversities Canada GSO program\, Indigenous students in all faculties are e
 ligible for funding up to $10\,000 to participate in this program.</p><p>St
