Online Symposium: The Pasts and Futures of Queer German Studies

Online Symposium: The Pasts and Futures of Queer German Studies

April 24-26, 2020

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Katie Sutton (Australian National University)

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this event has been moved to an online format. Program and access information are available here: https://blogs.ubc.ca/queergermanstudies/online-conference-program-and-access-information/

The symposium seeks to build on this exciting and extensive archive of scholarship on queer German studies by bringing together researchers at different stages of their academic careers and from different institutions to share their current research. While dedicated to contemporary approaches to queer German studies, the symposium additionally aims to facilitate discussion about the disciplinary history of queer German studies. Which developments shaped contemporary queer German studies and what futures lie ahead of it?
