  a close\, the Russian war in Ukraine is not. Throughout the summer months\
 , we in UBC’s Department of Central\, Eastern\, and Northern European Studi
 es (CENES) will continue to focus on the experience of people of (and in) U
 kraine. We will maintain solidarity with them until Ukraine triumphs over i
 ts unprovoked invaders.</p><p>Each month\, around the day of the unprovoked
  Russian invasion on February 24 of this year\, we will invite new speakers
  and guests who will contribute their unique insights and perspectives\, he
 lping us to keep our consciousness focused on the Ukrainian people\, their 
 bravery\, their national spirit\, as well as cultural and social changes oc
