The UBC Department of Central, Eastern, and Northern European Studies (CENES) invites applications from interested parties to be considered for the Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, a national initiative supporting postdoctoral scholarship across various disciplines. The fellowships “are awarded to the very best postdoctoral researchers, both nationally and internationally, who will positively contribute to Canada’s economic, social and research-based growth.”
The procedure is as follows: applicants identify and contact a potential supervisor in the department, completes application package in consultation with supervisor, and submits the application package to the CENES Department (cenes.dept@ubc.ca). An internal adjudication will take place and the department will forward one application to the university-wide competition. From there, UBC will select a shortlist of finalists, which will be submitted to the national competition.
The internal department deadline for the application is July 1, 2022.
