The Department of Central, Eastern and Northern European Studies (CENES) and its Undergraduate Student Advisory Council are thrilled to announce the inaugural CENES Undergraduate Research Symposium!
Students are invited to submit proposals showcasing class projects, independent research, as well as work-in-progress. This is a great opportunity for undergraduates to gain experience presenting their work in a conference setting, engage in meaningful conversations with peers and faculty, and receive constructive feedback on their work.
Students may present any topic related to Central, Eastern, Northern European Studies, such as language, linguistics, literature, culture, and history. Term papers, presentations, or creative projects (e.g., comics, short video essays, zines, narrative film) are all welcome.
The hybrid (in-person and virtual) Symposium will be held on Friday, March 20, 2026 from 1 PM – 4 PM in Buchanan Tower 726. Additional details will be provided at a later date once the program is finalized.
