 h3><p><a href="https://cenes.ubc.ca/profile/jason-lieblang/">Dr. Jason Lieb
 lang</a> and <a href="https://cenes.ubc.ca/profile/gaby-pailer/">Dr. Gaby P
 ailer</a> will start by providing some general information about the comple
 x “Gestern und heute” (“Girls in Uniform”) stage and screen materials\, and
  then focus on Christa Winsloe’s original stage script Gestern und heute (R
 itter Nérestan) from 1930. They will then introduce their new bilingual edi
 tion of the play\, talking specifically about a selection of scenes and the
 ir approach to translating them into English.</p><p>The first portion of th
 e Salon will be an informal mix and mingle to get to know colleagues over c
 offee and tea. This will be followed by a short\, 10- to 15-minute presenta
 tion\, which will then be opened up to discussion with the larger group for
  the remainder of the time. The CENES Salon is meant to be fun\, casual and
  collaborative – a space to learn from and with each other. You do not need
  to know anything about the topics to participate\, though some contextual 
 information will be provided in advance.</p><h3>How to Attend:</h3><p>Quest
