An extra section of CENS 303B (CENS 303B 99B) has been added for Winter 2020 Term 1. This online distance education course guides students through a carefully arranged selection of material and assignments that help them learn about the Nazi Holocaust and related aspects of Nazi Germany by focusing on the Auschwitz concentration camp: a place in which several frequently conflicting agendas of the Third Reich intersected. Auschwitz is also a site of various memories that raises questions regarding how it has been remembered and commemorated in memoirs, literature and film.
