The Department of Central, Eastern and Northern European Studies (CENES) is delighted to co-sponsor the forthcoming conference organized by The Black German Heritage & Research Association (BGHRA), entitled All Black Lives Matter: Black Germany and Beyond.
In her role as founder and president of BGHRA, Dr. Rosemarie Peña, Adjunct Professor of German Studies in CENES, will co-produce this year’s conference. BGHRA is a non-profit and inclusive organization, which documents and supports activities and promotes interdisciplinary scholarship, related to the historic and contemporary presence of Black people in Germany and Black Germans in the United States.
