On Wednesday, February 12th, at 12:30 PM, Dr. Biz Nijdam will join Taiwanese Graphic Novelist Ruan Guang-Min to celebrate Lunar Fest at UBC. The roundtable event will feature a conversation on Places of Memory in Graphic Novels, drawing from Guang-Min work and Nijdam’s research.
This event is made possible through the collaborative efforts of UBC’s Asian Studies Department, LunarFest, and the Hong Kong Studies Initiative. These partnerships bring together expertise in Asian culture, art, and scholarship, creating a platform to celebrate and discuss the rich narratives and cultural significance of graphic novels in the context of memory and identity.
