“Commemorating Jewish Heritage in Poland – Focus on Burial Sites”

The protection of Jewish cemeteries in Poland is understood very differently by numerous agents; local communities, Polish or Jewish activists, and by State institutions, which are involved in the
process. Different approaches to the way remembrance practices are carried out significantly determine how burial sites are protected and maintained, and it is an important factor in Polish Jewish relations.
