On September 3rd, join the Department of Central, Eastern and Northern European Studies for our Imagine Day event, The UBC CENES Fair: Into the CENEverse (Vol. II)!
Stop by the 9th floor of Buchanan Tower from 2:00pm – 4:00pm to experience CENES’ second Imagine Day Fair! Connect with your fellow peers and CENES faculty, learn more about the several languages CENES houses (including Danish, German, Swedish, Polish, Yiddish, Russian and Ukrainian), and what our community can offer students interested in topics, literatures, cultures and societies from more than 34 countries.
At the CENES Fair, students can experience a variety of our program events hosted by our German, Modern European Studies, Nordic, and Slavic programs. Aside from free pizza, a candy bar and swag, CENES will also host a variety of activities including a photo booth, a Lego set raffle, birch-bark ring and German zine making, a mărțișor/ martenitsa braiding workshop, Slavic Tea, activities to introduce students to CENES languages, and more!
