The UBC Department of Central, Eastern and Northern European Studies (CENES) invites applications from interested parties to be considered for the Killam Postdoctoral Research Fellowship Program.
The fellowships “support advanced education and research” broadly conceived, which for CENES means any of the research areas that fall in the purview of the department.
The procedure is as follows: applicant identifies and contacts a potential supervisor in the department, completes the application package in consultation with the supervisor, and submits the application package to the CENES Department (cenes.dept@ubc.ca). An internal adjudication will take place, and the department will forward one application to the university-wide competition.
Deadline: The internal department deadline for the application is October 20, 2023 at 4:00 pm PT.
Key Information
- CAD 60,000/year for two years. The travel and research allowance has been discontinued and will no longer be offered to future recipients
- Open to Canadian nationals, permanent residents, AND international scholars
- Open to all areas of study represented by the Tri-Council and supported by the research expertise among the CENES faculty
