Dr. Katherine Bowers, together with Quinn Dombrowski (Stanford), has published the latest installment of the Data-Sitters Club project, a comprehensive, colloquial guide to computational text analysis. DSC #11 “Katia and the Sentiment Snobs” tackles sentiment analysis, a method for analyzing the positivity or negativity of statements across a corpus. The work includes analysis of Dostoevsky’s as well as Ann M. Martin’s works.
