Dr. Bozena Karwowska has published a new book with the Institute of Literary Research, Polish Academy of Sciences. The English translation of the title is “Women-History-Literature.”
In this volume, 17 essays are divided into thematic groups. The first section examines the problems of women’s view of history and a definition of femininity in its historic and national variations; the second section refers to the historic paths of female heroines; the third section is devoted to the Polish post-war emigrantkom; and the final section contains sketches associated with women’s literary relationships relating to important historical moments.
