On June 1, 2022, Dr. Kyle Frackman presented a paper at a research workshop on East German documentary film hosted by the University of St. Andrews in Scotland. Dr. Frackman’s paper, “The Queer Cipher in East German Documentary Film,” was part of a three-day workshop partly sponsored by the German Screen Studies Network.
The workshop is connected to a forthcoming publication, Documenting Socialism, edited by Seán Allan (University of St. Andrews) and Sebastian Heiduschke (Oregon State University) and published by Berghahn Books.
