Dr. Katherine Bowers published an article, “Plotting the Ending: Generic Expectation and the Uncanny Ending of Crime and Punishment,” in the most recent issue of Canadian Slavonic Papers (Vol. 62, No. 2). The article is part of a cluster examining the epilogue to Dostoevsky’s novel, and appears alongside work by Kate Holland (Toronto) and Eric Naiman (Berkeley). The epilogue cluster also features its own epilogue, written by Robin Feuer Miller (Brandeis). You can read the cluster here: https://www.tandfonline.com/toc/rcsp20/62/2?nav=tocList.
Bowers’s article was presented as part of the CENES Faculty Research Colloquium in April 2019.
