Dr. Ervin Malakaj (Assistant Professor of German Studies and Director of Undergraduate Studies in German) published an essay in the New Fascism Syllabus series “Ukrainian Dispatches.” The essay, titled, “Historical Injury and Multidirectional Solidarity in Times of Crisis,” relays Dr. Malakaj’s lived experience as a refugee in Germany and brings this experience in conversation with historical revisionism, solidarity structures, and what it means to attend to multiple histories of violence at once.
