Dr. Winthrop-Young contributed “Gespeicherte Seelenwanderung, oder, Die beste aller Schreibszenen” (“A stored migration of the soul, or, The best of all writing scenes”) to the collection Noten zum Schreiben.

Dr. Winthrop Young’s contribution is published in honour of the Swiss Germanist Martin Stingelin. The paper analyzes how Kipling’s The Finest Story in the World presents unconscious memories of former incarnations as the ultimate inscription technology and literature as a culture technique of rapture and obsession–or better, as ‘literapture’.
