Dr. Kyle Frackman delivered the keynote address at the recent conference GDR Today – Minority Experiences of the GDR (September 16–17, 2021) hosted jointly by the University of St. Andrews and the University of Birmingham. This was the sixth iteration of the GDR Today conference, which met for the first time in 2014 and gives a snapshot of current discussions in research on East Germany.
The title of the lecture was “Queer Futurities and the East German Socialist Utopia.”
