The Department of Central, Eastern and Northern European Studies sadly reports the passing of our former colleague, Dr. Leslie Miller (1929-2018).
Leslie Miller received a BA from the University of Wales in 1950 and an MA and PhD from the University of California Berkeley in 1956 and 1964, respectively. A specialist in 20th-century German literature with a strong interest in translation, Dr. Miller joined the department as an Instructor in 1961 and retired as an Associate Professor in 1992.
