Dr. Frackman and Dr. Malakaj are co-founders of an interdisciplinary network for Queer and Trans German Studies within the German Studies Association. Along with Dr. Laurie Marhoefer (University of Washington), Dr. Simone Pfleger (University of Alberta), Dr. Carrie Smith (University of Alberta), and Dr. Faye Stewart (Georgia State University), Drs. Frackman and Malakaj will collaborative coordinate the activities of the new network, which will include sponsoring panels at the annual GSA conference.
The Queer and Trans German Studies network will meet for the first time at the Networks Reception at the GSA 2019 in Portland, Oregon.
