The May 2019 issue of Seminar: A Journal of Germanic Studies, dedicated to the “Media Histories of Girls in Uniform,” was guest-edited by Dr. Ilinca Iurascu, in collaboration with Dr. Gaby Pailer, and features contributions by other CENES faculty. The issue includes Dr. Kyle Frackman‘s article “‘Du bist Nummer 55’: Girls’ Education, Mädchen in Uniform, and Social Responsibility” and Dr. Ervin Malakaj‘s review of The Promise of Cinema. The special issue arose in part from a SSHRC-funded project at UBC.
