According to CBC News, at least 25 are dead and 241 injured in the latest violent clashes in Ukraine’s political crisis. The Slavic faculty members of the Department of CENES are deeply saddened by the sharp escalation of violence in Kiev which can be blamed on the government, which has failed to respond to the demands of its people for almost three months. Our thoughts are with all those who stand up for their belief in freedom. We offer our deepest condolences to the families who have lost their loved ones.
