Steve Commichau successfully defended his Ph.D. dissertation and will be graduating from UBC Germanic Studies.
The dissertation’s title is “The Monster is the Message: The Ghost as Monster and Medium in Early Modern German Protestant Records.”
The dissertation committee included Dr. Kyle Frackman, supervisor; Dr. Ervin Malakaj and Dr. Katherine Bowers, committee members. University Examiners were Dr. Ilinca Iurascu and Dr. Mo Pareles (English Language and Literatures). The External Examiner was Prof. Kathryn Edwards (University of South Carolina).
