PhD student Braden Russell was featured in the “Meet our Students” spotlight series on the UBC Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies website.
Braden joined the Department of Central, Eastern and Northern European Studies’ Germanic Studies program in September 2020, and is interested in the research topic of intersections of belonging and identity in queer Jewish German cultural products.
“The CENES Department has many opportunities to widen our skill sets. We not only gain training in academia, but we can apply our acquired skills outside academia by undertaking a co-op through the UBC co-op program. We also have opportunities to work on various projects with faculty to gain more experience.”
