Dr. Thomas Salumets has been named as a recipient of an honorary doctorate from Tartu University in Estonia. In his letter, the President wrote that the award is in “recognition of outstanding scholarly accomplishments, longstanding international engagement with Estonian culture, and successful collaboration with scholars at Tartu University.” A ceremony will be held later on this year in Tartu as part of the anniversary celebrations of the university.
