The Winter 2026-2027 program for the Sawchen Lecture Series and Ziegler Lecture Series is now available.
CENES Sawchen and Ziegler lectures are free to attend and open to the public and all members of the UBC community, including students, faculty, and staff.
These lectures occur every year, allowing CENES to invite speakers to talk about scholarship within Germanic and Slavic studies. In 2026-27, CENES has introduced the theme of ‘fragments’ for both of the Sawchen and Ziegler series.
Each lecture will be recorded and will be made available on cIRcle after the live virtual event.
