DATE
Thursday September 22, 2022
TIME
6:00 PM - 7:30 PM

We are very fortunate and grateful to welcome Anastasiia Lapatina to a panel discussion on her first-hand experience covering the current war in Ukraine, followed by a Q&A period with the audience. Lapatina is a national reporter with the Kyiv Independent, Ukraine’s largest English-language newspaper, which has been internationally recognized for its coverage of Russia’s war against Ukraine. She has spent the past five months on the ground, reporting from Kyiv, from the Polish-Ukrainian border and from refugee centres across the country. Some of the impressions from these tours are captured in Did the War End?, a podcast series she produced with her colleagues Agatha Gorski and Catarina Buchatskiy. For her remarkable contribution to the profession, Forbes recently placed her on its 30 under 30 list in the category “Media and Marketing.”

The panel discussion will also be broadcast as a Zoom Webinar. To register for the online event, please follow this link: https://ubc.zoom.us/meeting/register/u5cpdOuvqjwiG9JFXVhESc_z_64oLg4jsIPh
