Dr. David Gramling and Dr. Ervin Malakaj teamed up with Dr. Kiley Kost (Carleton College) to organize a three-day conference on March 31–April 1, 2023, with 100 instructors and researchers across international German Studies.
The conference, called “DDGC 2023 The Hotcomes Conference: Creating Just Outcomes and Assessments, Together,” is part of their ongoing collaboration and commitment to the DDGC Collective: Diversity, Decolonization, and the German Curriculum. It is the fourth DDGC conference since Dr. Malakaj co-founded the Collective in 2016.
The conference yielded scores of new outcomes for instructors to adopt and co-create with their students at various institutions of learning in Canada and internationally.
