Taking Stock: Media Inventories in the German Nineteenth Century, a new title from De Gruyter’s Cultures and Practices of Knowledge in History series

We are thrilled to announce the publication of Taking Stock: Media Inventories in the German Nineteenth Century, a new title from De Gruyter’s Cultures and Practices of Knowledge in History series. The volume features contributions by Ervin Malakaj, Shoshana Schwebel, and Geoff Winthrop-Young, and is co-edited by Sean Franzel (University of Missouri), Ilinca Iurascu, and Petra McGillen (Dartmouth College).

The articles focus on the proliferation of inventorying models and techniques during the long nineteenth century, tracing their role in producing, storing, and processing cultural knowledge.
