The fellowships “are awarded to the very best postdoctoral researchers, both nationally and internationally, who will positively contribute to Canada’s economic, social and research-based growth.”
The Department of Central, Eastern, and Northern European Studies (CENES) at the University of British Columbia invites applications from interested researchers and supervisors to be considered for the premier Banting Postdoctoral Fellowship Program, a national initiative supporting postdoctoral scholarship across various disciplines.
Procedure
Applicants identify and contact a potential supervisor in the department, complete the application package in consultation with supervisor, and submit the application package to the CENES Department (cenes.dept@ubc.ca). An internal adjudication will take place and the department will forward one application to the university-wide competition. From there, UBC will select a shortlist of institutional finalists, whose applications will be submitted to the national competition.
