Dr. Ervin Malakaj, Assistant Professor of German Studies, published an article in the most recent issue of GLQ: A Journal of Lesbian and Gay Studies. The article is titled “Queer Time and the Cinematic Pleasures of the Locus Amoenusin Free Fall.”

Dr. Malakaj awarded a Humboldt Research Fellowship
Dr. Ervin Malakaj was awarded a research fellowship for experienced researchers to write a book on queer media engagement.
Dr. Malakaj awarded Canada Council for the Arts grant to write book on queer Bosnian diaspora
The award will fund a research trip on which Dr. Malakaj will retrace his refugee and migration journey from his hometown in Bosnia and Herzegovina to Canada.
