Braden Russell Advances to Candidacy

Dr. Malakaj awarded Jacob & Wilhelm Grimm Prize
Dr. Ervin Malakaj has been selected to receive the Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm Prize from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), part of the German Foreign Ministry (Auswärtiges Amt). The award is given to one senior and one early career scholar and includes a stay in Germany and a €3,000 prize.
Dr. Kumar and Dr. Malakaj awarded $48K Arts Research Abroad Grant for “Multicultural Vienna”
Dr. Uma Kumar and Dr. Ervin Malakaj were awarded a competitive $48,500 UBC Arts Research Abroad grant. The funding will support instruction as well as student travel costs for a May 2024 Go Global study abroad course titled “Multicultural Vienna.”
