The Department of Central, Eastern and Northern European Studies is updating its website and needs user feedback on the current site. The survey takes less than 5 minutes to complete, and is open to all current and prospective students, faculty, emeriti, staff, alumni and members of the public.

Dr. Ervin Malakaj has published a piece in The Conversation on the controversy surrounding the 2019 Nobel Prize for Literature, which was awarded to Austrian writer Peter Handke.

Dr. Karwowska to Present at CENES Faculty Research Colloquium
On Thursday, January 23 at 12:45 p.m. in Buchanan Tower 997, Dr. Bozena Karwowska will be giving a talk on “Tadeusz Borowski’s This Way for the Gas, Ladies and Gentlemen: Facts, Literary Style and a Testimony of Auschwitz.”
